Reflecting Upon 2012

Reflecting Upon 2012

December 20, 2012 2 Comments

Lots of beginnings happened this year.

The Mewie family doubled with the arrival of JereMaya. We were able to purchase our new home. And I took action to write the first draft of my novel in November. I also got a makeover in a sense – my orthodontic braces came off and my eyes were enhanced with LASIK. Mrs. Mewie appreciates the fact that I don’t look as nerdy anymore.

2012, without a doubt, has been the best year of my life yet. I thought nothing better could beat 2006 when Mrs. Mewie and I married. But each year after actually gets better. That does not mean life becomes easier. Far from it. With growth, comes pain and new challenges. Sacrifices are made. Priorities shift. But life is never boring when you know what you’re meant to do in this world. This year’s blessings are only the beginnings of greater blessings. The best of the best has yet to come.

With that said, it’s time to appreciate the past and present. Here’s the Mewie Christmas photo I designed and the letter JereMaya ‘wrote’ to Santa.
